What is Reiki ?
Reiki is an energy healing system which
channels universal life energy into the body by a gentle placing of the
hands in specific positions on the body.
The
Japanese ideograms, or Kanji of Reiki comes from two words
- "Rei" and "Ki", that means "universal life-force energy." If
you analyze the two ideograms one at a time and try to give them a meaning,
then one might say that "Rei", it describes the universal aspect of
this unlimited vital energy while, "Ki", it describes the vital force of
energylife that flows through everything that is alive. When all energy
channels of the human body are open, then we open ourselves to this flow of energy and we
become
a pure reiki channel ourself.We became a energy channel that can slide
freely from our own hands . Through Reiki and through the channeling of
"Energy", we will operate a "healing" process of the "sick";we tackle the
causes of "disease", the root of the problem, whether natural physical,
mental or spiritual.The Reiki therapist / reiki practioner because himself is a channel of
Energy, he will not use its energetic power ever, but through the channeling of Reiki,
together
with the "patient" he will enjoy the benefits of this pure and brilliant
Universal Life Energy.
Mikao Usui called this way of healing, "My methode" or if you prefer , the
